They Are Goose

Haunted

++Goose will be playing the Hard Haunted Mansion on October 28th and 29th, along with Major Lazer, Rusko, Fatboy Slim and Skrillex. Perusing the Hard website, if you see the word Hard so many times it starts to look funny after awhile. Hardcore.

++Yeah delicious for sure, but the catch is that by the time you finish standing in line to get those pancakes from The Griddle you look like Old Man Time. Don't get syrup in yer beard!

Mirrors Mark

"Now you're just somebody that I used to know."

Gotye

++I realize I'm way behind on this but I'm diggin' on this video of Gotye and my girl Kimbra(yay). I like the way both of them start off all cool-like and then start screaming their heads off. Kinda reminds me of being at work. (Most couples can't pull off dressing alike..)

The colored triangle/camoflage thing is effortlessly arty. Simple, yet visually compelling. Probably was cheap, too.

++People putting themselves into refrigerators and suitcases. I just don't know what's going on anymore.

Jonti

++Courtesy the IT Crowd Department  a song from Jonti (whose album Twirlgig comes out 10/18)..a gleaming, gurgling throwaway electroditty. Don't  confuse Jonti with Jonsi, (a simple mistake, like me believing and being annoyed for all these years with Rob Thomas for saying "I'm from the barrio." Me each time I would hear the song: "You Ain't from NO varrio!!" Finally looked it up to find I'd had the lyrics all wrong. Your dbag conviction has been overturned in the court of my mind, Mr. Thomas.)

Anyway! Jonti is a Stones Throw kinda guy.

Islands

++Be easily amused by the musings and findings of Islands' Nick Thorburn.

++Paul Wall & Baby Bash is a waay catchier title than Franklin & Bash.

++The titles on Nightmares on Wax's Smoker's Delight are similar to Patton Oswalt's #FakeTIFF11films.

Faux Fur

Yesinfernocover
++Yes, Inferno try to boil down the essence of actress Ellen Page into song. Not sure if the band's name is pronounced YES Inferno or Yes INFERNO...that's probably getting into Dale Carnegie territory.

++Gloria Estefan, Pharell and Target: So many elements are going into Estefan's new project. Will it be a hit or a confusing stew? Good on her for trying to mount a comeback after all these years.

++1:40. ((Doooiiiinnnnggg))

++There's a mighty enticing lineup for the annual Bridges concert up in the Bay area. (Though a certain Connie Ogle probably won't be attending.)
