When Terry Met Julie
I perused the concert movie Glastonbury the other night which is to be seen not so much for the music as for the way it captures the brash streak of eccentricity of the British. They take their lunacy much more seriously than Americans, which is saying something.
Standouts Bjork and Ray Davies killed it the hardest. I loved the sight of seeing the massive throngs swaying, washed in dusklight and sha-la-la-ing upon Davies' command to the song Waterloo Sunset, a song that's kind of quaint by festival standards.
Surprisingly, Fun Loving Criminals have a larger following in the UK than would be expected. Lead singer Huey Morgan has capitalized on the bands popularity out there ever since.
