Quickies
++Robin Proper-Shepherd goes by the name the pleasure of Sophia, and last year he put out a gorgeous album inspired by a breakup that was "swimming in sadness, emotion and misfortune". It's quite lovely, and we can't all be good time Charliesheens, can we?
++XLR8R, Pitchfork and Create Digital Music have joined forces with Syfy to put together 13 tracks for Caprica called Music For the Future that this announcement says can be downloaded, um, here(?). Just as I suspected, there IS no future!
++Bull Pillman: Google doesn't know if she's Jane Krasinksi or Jane Krakowski. And now that she's engaged to designer Robert Godley who looks an awful lot like Jane Kaczmarek's ex-husband Bradley Whitford, I'm never going to get all those names straight.
++I ((heart)) the warmth in the voice of the deejay who hosts 10 at 10. Even though I can never guess the year based on the hints that are given to save my life. Update: Thought he was much older!
++Oh Internet, so great. Go ahead and take the rest of the day off.
++From the inbox: Chris Otepka, formerly of Troubled Hubble, will be appearing with his new band The Heligoats at Echo Curio on the 10th. Fans of Neutral Milk (and the "white zone is for loading unloading" voice at the airport and/or background voices from Major Tom) might find this song to their liking. The Heligoats' new album Goodness Gracious is out now.
Heligoats Fishsticks mp3 was here.
From last night's Lost, as predicted, the Hot Tub Time Machine. Frankly just as plausible at this point.
++I don't know what happened to cause the frustration in this Neon Neon poster but trust me I've been there, bros. Whatever it is.
