++Video for the song Too Young To Love by The Big Pink, who will be opening for Muse: Don't know exactly what is happening in this video that is causing them to look confused and the room to spin. Maybe they just got done watching The Joy Behar Show? Happens to the best of us, I guess.
Big Pink are from London but this song sounds vaguely like distant bagpipes on a foggy Scottish highland to me. Combine that with the pale and pouty fashion-shoot insouciance of the video and it all adds up to the big fat WIN of this week. Feelin' it! (Slightly NSFW.)
++Scientists have come up with a way to make ambient music out of brain waves by hooking MRI's to Midi players. Not surprisingly, the patterns of people with schizophrenia make much more interesting music. This is a real coup, making up for and saving some huge face for brain scientists after that whole squid debacle earlier this month.
++Bradford Cox/Atlas Sound's second album titled Logos comes out next month. In this interview with the AV Club, he models the latest in winter headwear and talks about doing all-age shows in small towns with Dan Deacon. Because hey, people of all ages should get the chance to experience this.
