-Via Crickets, Tim Kinsella of Joan of Arc assists author Jessica Hopper in a promo for the book The Girls Guide To Rocking. No word on whether the book comes with glitter. (see :10 second mark.)

-No, the following isn't a list of horses in the 3rd Race at Hollywood Park. It's a list of bands that are bubbling up according to Groupie Magazine and Glenn "The Scout" Goetze:
The Magic
My Tiger, My Timing
Tanlines
Papa Vs. Pretty
Sherlock's Daughter.
My Tiger My Timing released this, a debut single on April 9th:
I just love this band's youthful exuberance and the way their eyes sparkle with excitement. There's a disconnect between their fresh faced look and the acid jazz feel of their song, though. They look far too innocent to be making songs that sound like Antibalas.
The faboo video, directed by Ian William Galloway, appears to have been shot from the inside of Betsey Johnson's swatch book. Or maybe her kitchen. Just great.
My Tiger My Timing is a 5 person London act and yes, "tropical" is the word is the word for their sound. Do download if you like a little cha cha cha in your dance music:
