White Haired Men
I had to jot down a few of the interesting stories on Morning Becomes Eclectic this morning:
-Hey L.A! Tonight at the Nuart Theater there's a special screening of Urgh:A Music War(1981), a British film about a ton of New Wave and post-punk bands, produced by Miles Copeland. The documentary is a bit of a cult classic and is only available on VHS. It features live performances by Gary Numan* who apparently sings while driving around the stage in a miniature car, the raunchy punk band The Cramps, XTC (before they stopped doing live stage shows) and Klaus Nomi.
-M.B.E. also played King of Spain by Galaxie 500. Dean Wareham has been busy promoting the project he was commissioned to do by the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg in which he:
*Gary Numan has been experiencing a revival of late, and has recently performed with Ladytron.
