Let's Get Ravey
-London based electropop duo La Roux's debut album comes out on June 29th. The You Tube commenters are right: lead singer Elly Jackson has a *very* high pitched voice that sounds as if she went on a 3 day helium bender. I like it. -It seems that Brendan Benson will be taking his career down the country road if this duet with Ashley Monroe is any indication. Which is, y'know, all fine and well and good. I just prefer the stuff he does that sound like drinking songs arranged by either Joe Jackson or the Counting Crows.

yeah, it took me a lil while to get used to La Roux's vocals. Well, at first listen, it was just weird and cute but more like a novelty than anything. But, I found I couldn't stop thinking about it, so i had to go back and listen to some more.
now I love it. Need more. Such is love.
