Phantom Limb

-Kasabian is back with a video about Vlad the Impaler starring one of the guys from the Mighty Boosh. The song is a destroyer; it pulses and pushes forward with an angry house mojo that makes it seem like a throwback to the 90s. The song, subject matter and video all go together perfectly. You would think that the guy in the tube socks with the third phantom leg would have been able to escape Vlad's clutches. C'mon, you got three legs. Run!

Littl'ans

-Littl'ans are a band gaining popularity in the UK, mostly for their friendship with Pete "now Peter" Doherty and for having been used in a Hedi Slimane campaign. Their name is Cockney vernacular for "Little Ones" and does not translate to "Rhy Ifans" as I thought, initially. (Looked it up and Rhy Ifans translates to either "skullduggery" or "Swimfan" depending on context.)

There's definitely some melancholy in Littl'ans' sound, a lot of classic British punk and rock ghosts haunting their music belfries in a way that make them sound familiar and yet new.:
