Energy Dome

Devo, along with the legendary Quincy Jones*, will be keynote speakers at this years SXSW. I don't really ever think about Devo because they've been around forever, explored enough, and I just assumed they were somewhere out there in the back of the top shelf of the closet of the world doing their thing in a way that doesn't really have an impact on me personally, much like John Grisham.

I guess not everyone feels the way I do because they have an awful lot of fans who express their "Devo-tion" through tatts. A whole. lotta. tatts.:

I seriously had no idea.

(* I think it's an unwritten law that Quincy Jones must be written about or addressed with the words "the legendary" affixed in front of his name. You see it everywhere. I wonder if he ever gets flack about the "legendary" thing. Like when he goes to the video store, if the cashier looks at him askance as he says: "Here's your copy of Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo Mr. "Legendary.")
