Volcano Taco
The October/November issue of Radar Magazine has an article on Eminem and what is becoming his epic rock biopic of a life. Now some of my friends make fun of me for liking Eminem and his repulsive ways. It's only in recent years I've become a fan and a passing one at that.. don't have his albums, never saw his movie. My fascination revolves around what a passionate open wound he is, who always seems to be drowning.
There are rumors that he'll soon be making a return with many sources denying that he has gone into full retirement. LL Cool J was on Conan O'Brien's show saying that Eminem called in to a radio talk show pretending to be an up and coming rapper and could still flow pretty well.
A few stray shot quotes from the Radar article:
"Virtually 365 days a year the reclusive rap star can be found in his mansion which he snapped up a few years back from the former CEO of Kmart."
"ordering in Taco Bell lunches and Outback Steakhouse filet mignon dinners every night"
"ballooned to more than 200lbs." (he really doesn't look that fat to me.)
"He's let his blond hair grow out, so everything but the ends are dark"
"That same month, Todd Nelson, the uncle whom Marshall had long regarded as a surrogate father was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot."
"suggested that Nelson (his mother) suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, in which a parent compulsively injures a child to gain attention and sympathy."
"Before they were lovers, they lived together as (foster) brother and sister."
"He endured a stint in drug rehab, a disastrous 82-day second marriage to childhood flame and psychological tormenter Kim Mathers- whose epic drug problems resulted in a cocaine arrest and a stint as a fugitive in Mexico- and the nightmare murder of his long time best friend and rap mentor, Proof."
Also in the magazine:
- Joe Eszterhas has found Jesus.
- Radar also mentions Chris Lilley, the Australian who writes and stars in HBO's mockumentary Summer Heights High, which will premiere in November.
