On the opposite end of the depression scale, we have the uber hot act of the moment The Vivian Girls. If Poppy's sister (see post below) thinks that she's not happy enough, she wouldn't know what to make of the stone-faced Vivian Girls. Off the top, I like'em though. There aren't enough shoegaze grrrrl types in music and this song has a Joy Division-like coldness to it, which there also isn't enough of these days. The video is hilarious, and I like how they maintain their Steve Carrell demeanor even when there are dancing bears and other woodland creatures frolicking all around them.
