I Lava Cute Lamp
-Right-o. If he's wise he'll never do light comedy. Stick to the serious stuff, kid.
-I've got a bit of a thing for lamps, pendant lamps in particular. In last month's In Style magazine there's an article about one you can get from Ikea that's basically a clear bucket that you can fill with whatever you want to match your decor. They suggest "red gumballs." Being the eternally fretting Doubting Thomasina that I am, I was like "Well what's going to keep the gumballs from melting all over the place?!" Fortunately, the Internet held the answer and a closer look at the bucket pendant lamp which shows that the bulb is encased in its own compartment. I'm still not entirely convinced that the gumballs won't melt..because we've all held red gumballs in our hands on a hot sweaty day.
-Died Young, Stayed Pretty is "a documentary on the random people that make rock posters."
-Speaking of posters Shepherd Fairey (another one of those people whose names seems to fit their vocation), creator of the well known Obama Hope poster has put the image on neckties.
-There seems to be some widespread grieving going on around the music blogosphere over the break-up of the band Be Your Own Pet. It should be noted that B.Y.O.P. drummer John Eatherly and Jonas Stein will continue making music together as part of Turbo Fruits. Noted by someone. Following these people. Who is not me. But I like the name Turbo Fruits and really that's all it takes around here:
