Collaborate, Fatboy, Collaborate
Okay, so I'm going to totally steal this entire story from the prolific Transbuddha: Fatboy Slim is doing a project called Brighton Port Authority where he is collaborating with a variety of different artists. The digital album Toe Jam came out on Fatboy Slim's (now going by his real name Norman Cook) label Southern Fried on the 7th. Co-conspirators include Martha Wainwright, Dizzee Rascal and the concept of the album is it a bunch of songs found as a box of cassette tapes at the "Brighton Dockside Warehouse." [ Why stop there, Norman Cook?I want even MORE backstory, like, was the box handled by a bunch of surly dockworkers? And did they have abusive childhoods?] I haven't been able to find any mp3s, but you can hear a song that he did with Iggy Pop below:
...Because there's nothing like the sight of Iggy Pop to wake you in the morning and rouse you into reality. Just kidding, I lurves me Ig. The Iggy Pop song is part of the Heroes OST soundtrack, too.. I guess? I don't know, its all so confusing. Brighton Port Authority also does a video with David Byrne.
I haven't had time to watch this and apparently its NSFW...but probably still MSTTSIP (More Suitable Than The Sight of Iggy Pop).
