Being All "La La La"

Tupac Leoempireaout2008uu6bk0
-Read in the latest issue of Nylon Magazine that Tupac used to be a back-up dancer for Digital Underground. Somehow I have a hard time picturing that......

-DiCaprio and Winslet are together again in the movie Revolutionary Road.  See the still life with ashtray and actors from the movie above. Directed by Sam Mendes, here's the Wiki-nopsis:

Set in 1955, (Revolutionary Road's) plot focuses on the hopes and aspirations of Frank and April Wheeler, self-assured Connecticut suburbanites who see themselves as very different from their neighbors in the Revolutionary Hill Estates. April is an aspiring actress who yearns to move to Paris, while Frank copes with toiling away at a corporate job he despises by drinking too heavily and engaging in an affair with a co-worker. The couple's marriage slowly dissolves into an endless cycle of bitter arguments and jealous recriminations.

Good times! So the Titanic kids are about to get all Virginia Woolf on us apparently. How the Priuses and scones will fly! Its early in the game but they appear, from the picture above, to still have some of that ol' magical chemistry between them. I heart Winslet but didn't care too much for Titanic, and am probably one of the few of the female species who didn't. We are a rare breed, like the elusive Kirtland's Warbler.

-I may be developing a slight writer's admiration crush on Choire Sicha.
A little late, I know, as he's been around since the beginning of the Internet. Its the tone he uses, especially here. Swoon. Kind of smartassed yet humanistic?

it's ok, i hated titanic, too. people in the theatre were giving me nasty looks with all my "harumph"s and "oh, puh-leeze"s and snorts of laughter. and what's more, i don't really like sex and the city and i didn't want to see the movie. yeah, i said it.

Me too! I was really anti-SATC and two of my girlfriends wanted to see it and I was looking at them like, how are we even friends?

funny, i saw titanic when i was breezing through the tv listings yesterday afternoon. i chose tivo'd episodes of monty python's flying circus instead. i was rewarded with the spanish inquisition sketch. yay!

nobody ever expects the spanish inquisition!
or however that goes. KCET(?) has been showing a lot of Python lately. or maybe its bbc...one of them.
