Waited Long Enough

-The Smashing Pumpkins may be, umm, touring soon. This is posted purely under "news for fans," a group which I do not count myself as part of. And there's some excitement having to do with the word Gish. No idea. Lillian Gish maybe? Seriously, I have no clue.
-I'm tempted to become drowsy while driving just so I could see my vehicle do this.
-The Kooks are coming to a town near you! I would see them at the House of Blues but the artificiality of the House of Blues always kills my soul on some level. Don't get me wrong, I'd go see Country Bear Jamboree there, but not an act I love. I think its actually a great place for comedy. Oh, and getting hit on by Tom Sizemore types. If that's your thing...the promised land awaits!
-I finally got around to watching some Dario Argento last night and truth be told I thought it was just ai'ight. Nothing to write homes about. One thing I did love was the wallpaper throughout the movie. Along those lines, check out these nutty papiers out!
-A Noel and Gem mpfree! and an old one from the vault. Bang a gong!

Gish = SP's first, arguably best, album. Do yourself a favor..

You know so much about music! Have never been able to get past Billy Corgan's nasal voice. I do *love* 1979 which most fans don't, so go figure.

Melon Collie was the beginning of the end for the Pumpkins. Gish and Siamese Dream are terribly overlooked when people talk about killer guitar rock from the early '90's. They were a lot more than "Rocket" and "Disarm." And certainly more than the stuff off that bloated kiss of death double album. Who complains about "1979"? That song's gorgeous.
I don't know that much; I may know a lot about a little.

A maven! There aren't many groups that can pull off the double album, eh? I'll revisit SP and post any thoughts. :)
